2. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by The French Atelier, including:

  • individual French lessons 

  • group classes 

  • linguistic and cultural coaching 

  • exam and art school preparation 

  • digital products (PDFs, learning materials, etc.) 

 

3. Acceptance of Terms

Any booking or payment implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

 

4. Booking and Payment

Services are confirmed upon receipt of full payment, in accordance with the selected payment option. No lesson shall be delivered without prior payment.

Payment may be made either:

  • in a single instalment prior to the commencement of the programme; or

  • for programmes of 30 hours or more, in two equal instalments, with the first instalment payable prior to the commencement of the first half of the programme, and the second instalment payable prior to the commencement of the second half.

 

Payment is made via bank transfer.

 

5. Pricing

All prices are indicated in euros (€).
The French Atelier reserves the right to modify prices at any time. The applicable price is the one in effect at the time of payment.

 

6. Service Delivery

Lessons are scheduled by mutual agreement.
Packages are valid over a period agreed between both parties. Learning materials may be provided when necessary.

 

7. Cancellation and Absence Policy

Client cancellation: Must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
A cancellation made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session is considered a late cancellation.
Late cancellations are charged.


No-show: Any unattended lesson without prior notice is charged and deducted from the package.
Refunds: No refunds will be issued for any missed, unused, or late-cancelled sessions.

 

8. Cancellation by The French Atelier

In case of unavailability (illness, unforeseen event, force majeure), the lesson will be rescheduled or replaced with an equivalent solution.

 

9. Force Majeure

The French Atelier shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond its control (illness, accident, technical issues, etc.).

 

10. Liability

The French Atelier is bound by an obligation of means, not results.

The French Atelier undertakes to provide professional support and guidance. However:

  • no guarantee of results is provided 

  • success depends on the client’s personal effort 

 

11. Intellectual Property

All teaching materials remain the exclusive property of The French Atelier.
Any reproduction or distribution without prior written consent is prohibited, including all course materials, documents, and exercises.

 

12. Personal Data

Personal data is collected only for service management.
Clients may exercise their rights in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.

 

13. Image rights, testimonials and client content

The Client may, from time to time, provide feedback, testimonials, or participate in learning sessions that may be used by The French Atelier for educational, promotional, or communication purposes (including website, social media, or marketing materials), subject to prior explicit consent where required by law.

 

The Client expressly agrees that any testimonial, written feedback, or voluntarily shared content may be used in anonymised form unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

The Client may also appear in screenshots, learning materials, or online sessions. In such cases, The French Atelier will seek explicit consent before any publication or public use of identifiable content.

 

Consent is optional and may be withdrawn at any time for future use by contacting: contact@thefrenchatelier.fr.
Withdrawal of consent will apply to future use only and will not affect materials already published.

 

14. International Clients

Services are available worldwide.
Clients are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws and tax obligations.

 

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution as a priority. Failing agreement, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the seller’s registered office, unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions.

 

These Terms reflect a premium, personalised language training service tailored to each client.
